Located near Eindhoven, in the heart of the high-tech region of the Netherlands, the Clean Event 2025 has a clear intention: 『Connecting the industrial cleanliness value chain』. The event links high-end customers like ASML, Thermo Fisher Scientific and TRUMPF with suppliers. Not only OEM down to system, component and parts suppliers, but also manufacturers of e.g. machining centers to achieve the desired accuracy. And, for repeatable and reproducible high purity, suppliers of industrial parts cleaning systems.
Among the exhibiting companies: MAFAC, a technology leader in the field of water-based industrial parts cleaning and one of the brands Eco-Lander represents and works with to customize the best solutions for its high-end customers.
What is the reason for the participation at this special event?
Armand Oostendorp, Managing Partner of MAFAC, explains: “Well, we have been present in extremely demanding markets such as semiconductor and laser technology for a number of years. Several European companies – both end users and OEMs – are now cleaning on our systems in precisely coordinated processes. Internal analysis at these customers has confirmed that the results meet industry-specific cleaning standards. And in addition to these general guidelines, they also reliably meet the often even higher factory benchmarks. We are admittedly a little proud of this.”
But, he continues: “Many suppliers are at a lower level in the pyramid, do not know what is meant when we talk about grades, about the maximum allowable levels of particles, fibers, inorganic process residues and organic stains. Or don’t even understand that there is a difference between visual and particle cleanliness. So, the event is also a platform to establish a common understanding of high purity. For us, this means meeting all these suppliers where they are and giving them specific advice on how to clean to the required specification. And how to become a valuable part of the supply chain in the semiconductor industry or other demanding markets.”
What does MAFAC want to convey at the Cleaning Event 2025?
Again Armand Oostendorp: “The most important thing is to create understanding that it makes little sense to focus on one cleaning and drying process. Which may be just right for the moment, for a customer and for certain products. But it may be overkill for less demanding tasks or, conversely, insufficient for even more complex future requirements. What is really needed – and what makes economic sense – is flexibility.”
The parts cleaning systems represented by Eco-Lander can handle a wide variety of processes. The results – parts cleanliness and degree of drying – can be precisely controlled. In addition, Eco-Lander provides advice on the patented technologies for different application scenarios: from the basic technology MAFAC Kinematics for uncomplicated workpieces to MAFAC Vacuum Activated Purification VAP. This technology is specifically designed for sensitive applications like electronics, additive manufacturing, optics and laser and reliably removes even the finest particles from the process.
